What it does:

Expense-it is an expense tracking tool for SalesLogix that allows users to enter expenses and attach receipts to expenses. It allows management the ability to approve expenses, and it allows accounting to bill and pay expenses, as-well-as gather receipts for audit purposes. Expenses can be tracked against all major sections in SalesLogix, including:

  • Contacts
  • Accounts
  • Opportunities
  • Tickets
  • Contracts
  • Activities
  • History

What makes it different:

Expense-it is designed to be user friendly, and it is very simple for users to add expenses, as they complete their normal tasks. The main expense entry form is on the schedule and complete activity form. Expenses are automatically linked to the same entities that the activity is linked to (account, contact, ticket, opportunity, etc.). However, Expense-it also allows users to add expenses in the main entity screens (contact, account, opportunity, etc.).

Expense-it allows an administrator to set a master mileage rate, and individual mileage rates per employee if necessary.

What really sets Expense-it apart is the ability to attach receipts either through browsing to a file, or through drag-and-drop. This eliminates the need for any paper to be submitted or filed in relation to expenses. Receipts are stored as SalesLogix attachments, and can be easily printed or gathered for auditing purposes.

General overview of the add-on:

Expense-it starts with a simple management interface that allows the administrator to set user rates (for items such as mileage), link expense categories to a GL code for accounting purposes and manage user expense security.

When adding an activity or history users can begin adding expenses directly to the activity.
All expenses added to an activity are available under the contact, account and other sections of SalesLogix. Users can also add additional expenses not related to the activity.

The manage and pay expenses screen allows managers to display, filter, approve, and pay expenses. Filter options include user, expense type, date range, paid status, approval status, and reimbursable type. All filtered data can be exported to Excel for reporting purposes.

 

Pricing:

KPI Dashboards comes with over 30 default dashboard elements offering views into your Account, Ticket, and Opportunity data. The optional Edit Module allows your administrator to add additional dashboard elements from data within SalesLogix or from any database your users can access. KPI Dashboards is priced per SalesLogix server and is currently only available on the LAN platform.
